Puppy Prep Program

Puppyhood is the most important time in your dog’s life. This is where you lay the foundation for a friendly, polite adult dog and prevent behavior problems. To be effective, socialization should start as soon as you get your puppy, ideally at 8 weeks of age. Many daycares don’t take pups younger than 12 weeks—but we can help.

Puppy Prep is our full-service program for discerning clients. We train and socialize your puppy for half a day twice per week for 2 weeks, teaching your new puppy everything she needs to know to get the right start in life.

How We Work

Step 1. Initial consultation (60–90 minutes)

All training programs begin with an in-depth session where I assess your puppy and we discuss your training goals. I then custom design a training program to meet those goals.

Step 2. Training program

Length of program and type of training depends on your training goals:

a. Day Training

We do the training for you, with you present or busy elsewhere, then show you how to maintain your puppy’s new improved behavior.

b. Private Lessons

We coach you through the training step by step.

what to ask trainers

  • What method of training do you use?
  • What is your educational background in the area of dog training?
  • Do you belong to any professional associations?
  • What type of equipment do you use?
  • Can you provide references?
